Jeanne Kenney, a former standout athlete, transitioned from collegiate coaching to lead her high school alma mater, St. Michael the Archangel High School in Baton Rouge, where she earned District 6-4A Coach of the Year honors in 2017 and 2018. Prior to her high school coaching tenure, she served as a graduate assistant coach at UCLA, contributing to the team's WNIT title win while earning her Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration and Exercise Sports Science from Concordia University Irvine. Kenney's coaching journey continued at Utah State and Appalachian State, where she played pivotal roles in player development. Returning to St. Michael in 2022, Kenney remained dedicated to fostering confidence in her players, both on and off the court. A former LSU athlete, Kenney's accolades for the Lady Tigers include ranking 10th all-time in assists and seventh in career 3-pointers at the university.
Kenney's ten years of coaching experience, spanning high school and collegiate levels, have led her to her latest role as the Head Coach for the St. Thomas More Lady Cougar basketball program. This season the Lady Cougars finished District 4-4A Runner-Up and posted a record of 20-9. In addition to her professional achievements, she finds her greatest joy in being an aunt to her nephews Mason and Myles.
